Abstract

Internet of Things (IoT) is an ecosystem of connected physical objects that are accessible through the internet. Similar to the way humans use the internet, devices are the main users of IoT. So communication between the devices is the main part of IoT. The ability to communicate to collect huge amount of data in real time is the key to unlocking the value of IoT. Devices initiate communication among themselves. Typically these devices are constrained in terms of battery life, processing power, and memory and often operate within the uncertain wireless environment, thus creating number of networking challenges that traditional routing protocols cannot solve. As a result, device will require intelligent routing protocols. We present an overview of intelligent routing protocols to achieve intelligent communication in IoT.
