Abstract

Deep Camera powers your existing surveillance cameras and CCTV/NVR with machine learning capabilities. It offers open-source facial recognition-based intrusion detection, fall detection and parking lot surveillance with the inference engine on your local device. Sharp AI-hub is the cloud hosting of AI applications that enables you to deploy AI applications with your CCTV camera on your edge device within minutes. In this chapter we try to utilize Deep Camera for Active CCTV detection based on motion sensor and sharp AI hub as an automated software system to give alert for the failed system along with the cause of failure and it also gives the probable quick fix for issue. Closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems are now ubiquitous for security and surveillance purposes. Traditional CCTV systems tend to be hampered by shortcomings including stand-alone operation, non-real-time analysis, and poor accessibility. Internet of Things (IoT) integration offers an innovative solution to the above shortcomings through enabling intelligent, networked, and remotely controllable surveillance systems. The opportunity of IoT for augmenting CCTV surveillance is analyzed in this chapter with discussion of the benefits of IoT-enabled solutions, challenges, security risks, and research direction in the future. This chapter seeks to give a thorough insight into the potential to transform conventional CCTV systems using IoT, developing more effective, smart, and responsive surveillance systems.
