Abstract

This project depicts a cost-efficient, adaptable system for home and workplace management and monitoring system. Node-MCU ESP8266 has an micro-web server embedded into it with WiFi module, and we have used the Blynk app for cloud connectivity and enabling remote access for control of appliances from anywhere on the planet. The devices can be controlled using Blynk Android application or the cloud platform. Comparing with similar design, this design does not require a dedicated device for its management but provides an optimal monitoring and controlling system for home and office environment that too, not just with switching capability. Most commonly used equipment like tube-light, power systems, and senso1rs for temperature, gas and motion are combined with the proposed cloud-based automation system to show how feasible and effective it is. As the outcome of this project, the project was successfully developed and implemented in real time. © 2024 AIP Publishing LLC.
